Easy-to-Make Scary Bark Treats

by Lynn on October 6, 2018

After seeing these on Pinterest, I made a batch of scary bark for a fundraiser at work. Packaged in ribbon-tied cellophane bags, they were wildly popular.

I started with some melting chocolate, popular bite-sized candies and a package of edible “eyes” that I found at a cake supply shop.

Placing wax paper on a cookie sheet, the chocolate was melted in the microwave and poured out onto the sheet.

Bite-sized candies were quickly placed throughout the chocolate as well as several pairs of eyes. The chocolate sheet was allowed to cool and harden.

Using a sharp knife, the bark was cut into pieces insuring that at least one pair of eyes was in each piece.

Scary bark pieces are super easy to prepare and make for great fall treats. Enjoy!
